DESCRIPTION
We had to pinch ourselves when we got this incredible wine. The last Alexander Valley Cabernet we had was Lot 74, about five years ago. This Alexander Valley Cab is even better! And it comes to us from one of the best winemakers in the region.
Low yielding vines of Cabernet Sauvignon grow in gravel and clay soils on land sloping gradually from the hills to the Russian River as it meanders its way southward. Between vine rows, cover crops of mustard and legumes maintain soil health, serving as a natural check in vine vigor. Harvesting happens in late September to early October. Grapes are fermented in stainless steel and mature for 10-12 months in cask
TASTING NOTES
Steely dark berry in color with luscious aromas of blackcurrant and cherries on top of indulgent scents of mocha, vanilla and cedar. Take a sip and prepare for your mouth to be swaddled in a full-bodied embrace. This is a Cabernet that dishes out lip-smacking affection with every sip.
