The 2012 Zinfandel is one of our best-a zesty, fruity red produced from Central Coast grapes. Right off the bat, the wine's aromas reveal a deep core of bright, lively strawberry, blackberry, and mango with a discrete licorice note. In the mouth, the soft fruit flavors take on expressive vanilla oak, which rounds out the middle and carries over the long, sweet finish. Superbly balanced, with bright acidity and supple tannins, this Zinfandel will make a fine match for a wide range of hearty dishes, including short ribs, Philly cheese steak, or nacho burgers.
